Correcting your proofs

When your accepted manuscript enters production, it will be first sent to our professional copyeditors to be conformed to our house style, then it is paged into page proofs, which will be sent to you for correction. This initial step takes about 3-6 weeks.

If your Journal is supported by Editorial Manager©, proofs are sent to the Corresponding Author through Editorial Manager production tracking system, together with detailed instructions for your Journal. Alternatively, your proofs will be emailed to you by the Production Editors of your Journal.

How you send us your corrections is very important to ensure a quick and accurate  publication of your article:
make sure your corrections and replies to all our queries are submitted at once, as subsequent corrections may not be guaranteed and may delay the publication of your article. Please check your proofs carefully as their precision is entirely the responsibility of the Authors.

Please also note that significant changes to the content of your article will only be accepted after approval of the Editor.

The guidelines here below are meant to help you to use the most advanced tools and a brief guide to Correcting your proofs with Adobe is available for download.

To annotate your corrections on the proof (pdf) you will need Adobe Reader 7.0 (or higher).

This is a free programme available for PC, Mac, and UNIX. You can download it from https://get.adobe.com/reader/

System requirements are indicated in the Adobe site: https://www.adobe.com/products/reader/tech-specs.html

If  for any reason you are unable to annotate your corrections on the PDF proof, list your corrections in an e-mail or on a separate Word document and return it to the Production Editor of your Journal.

Never return a corrected version of your manuscript but only the corrected pdf proof.
